Fact Sheet
I would now like to share a sample fact sheet I created in my public relations writing class for a fictitious entertainment media platform. This media platform is another one of the ideas I came up with in my aforementioned entrepreneurship class. I chose this piece to demonstrate the visual appeal, conciseness, and both quantity and quality of information I can pack into various document layouts.
News Release
As someone who is highly passionate about the entertainment field and dreams to one day own a production company, I would love to do more work on news releases. I chose this piece because I foresee that news releases become increasingly important the more successful you are. As an actor I am trained in both news releases as well as elevator pitches and I feel that this piece, originally from my entrepreneurship class, provides a sneak peak into where I see myself as a communication and public relations professional as my career moves forward.
Blog Post
For my public relations writing class I also wrote a sample blog post for Drexel University’s Music Industry program. I chose this piece for its concise clarity, the research reflected in the highlighted topics, and the ability to provide insight while effectively summarizing four years worth of education.
Personal Newsletter
Last, but not least, I chose my personal newsletter. I chose this piece because I feel that it demonstrates my storytelling ability. In the first act it introduces myself as a character and sets the scene of where I’ve been. Next, my story is told about how I got to where I am and how it has impacted my character . Finally the story comes to a close with as sense of character growth and where I am going.
Braithwaite Blog Post
For my internship at Braithwaite Communications I wrote this blog post about finding the right format for your media. Being open to new media formats can make all the difference. This article discusses Netflix and HBO's use of mini-series and how packaging content correctly is just as important as the message itself.
Keys To A Successful Movie MicroBlog
This is a sample microblog post I wrote about the film industry. This article discusses how creating relatable messages and inspiring the audience leads to a successful movie. Genuine connections will always lead to successful projects while pandering can ruin it in an instant.
